Behind the Scenes: Groundwork Before Growth

Dewan Trading is preparing to launch. Before we sell a single product, we are doing the groundwork that a trading business depends on.

Our first product focus is high-quality Japanese green tea for buyers overseas. In the longer term, we want to build reliable trade between Japan and Bangladesh. Both goals start in the same place: getting the basics right.

What we are working on now

  • Researching Japanese green tea producers: learning about tea grades and growing regions, and finding producers who can supply consistent quality.
  • Checking export rules and documents: understanding the paperwork, labelling and certificates that each destination market may require.
  • Calculating real costs: shipping, insurance, duties, taxes and customs fees, so that the prices we quote are realistic.
  • Comparing suppliers for quality and reliability: samples, minimum order quantities, lead times and how clearly they communicate.

Why we are taking it slowly

In international trade, trust is built before the first shipment. A price that ignores hidden costs, or a supplier who cannot deliver on time, can damage a business relationship from the start.

We would rather find those problems now, during preparation, than after a buyer has placed an order. Slow and careful now means trust later.
